The Derick Brehm Memorial Award, established by Ben Noah, the coach of Detroit Lakes High School hockey, is presented annually to one outstanding player from the Detroit Lakes boys hockey team. This recipient exemplifies leadership, character, coachability, respect, diligence, toughness, and unwavering dedication to their team. Upon receiving this prestigious award, the player is inducted into THE BROTHER FUND.
THE BROTHER FUND, initiated by Derick’s hockey brothers – Conner Collins, Taylor Magnuson, and Isaac Fondrick, has assumed the responsibility of raising the $5,000 scholarship funds for the award recipient. This ensures that Derick’s legacy continues to have a positive and lasting impact.
